Boss /bɔs, bɒs/ –noun 1. Idm full version torrent. A person who employs or superintends workers; manager. A politician who controls the party organization, as in a particular district. A person who makes decisions, exercises authority, dominates, etc. Just wondering what you folks think are the best bosses in a video game. No real criteria: as long as it's a boss opponent (doesn't have to be a final boss, either) and it's in a video game, it's acceptable as a boss. Heck, you can say Fooruman from FSP if you want. Super Mario Fusion Revival: Updated Bowser World Boss fight (World 1-WB). Walkthrough Newer Super Mario Bros: Sky Mountain + Starry Skies Part 7 100%. Now, here are my picks. With pictures! This is Giygas from the SNES RPG Earthbound. Giygas is a truly creepy piece of work and really exemplifies how Earthbound can mess with your head. The entire game, Giygas is described as the mastermind behind the various problems in the game, but you never have any idea exactly who - or what - he is until you reach the end of the game. The alien menace's true identity? A swirling black void with a bizarre red shape that repeats endlessly, that vaguely resembles a face screaming in pain. As Giygas takes damage, the image begins to contort and twist more violently. All the while, Giygas keeps saying bizarre nonsensical statements such as 'I'm.happy.' And '.Friends.' According to an interview with Earthbound's creator, the idea for Giygas was inspired by a childhood incident in which he accidentally entered a movie theatre that was showing a rape scene. Giygas is a representation of his traumatic memory of this event. Now, that alone would make Giygas a top-tier video game boss, but what truly makes him genius is the manner in which he is defeated. Brute force won't harm him. Instead, you must use a command that only one character possesses: Pray. As you keep praying, characters from throughout the game will pray for your party's success, steadily damaging Giygas more and more. Finally, the last person to pray is the player himself: the game has you input your real name earlier in the quest, without any indication as to what it will be used for. This is Seven Force from Gunstar Heroes, and this image doesn't even begin to to justice to the awesomeness that is Seven Force. Gunstar Heroes is a side-scrolling shooter in the vein of Contra. Seven Force is a gigantic robot that has seven different forms. And you're going to have to fight your way through every last one.or five random ones on Normal mode. ![]() Seven Force starts as a standard bipedal robot chasing you through a mine shaft. After it's defeated, though, it explodes.and reassembles its pieces like a Decepticon on crack. It will then transform into one of its other, deadlier forms: Crab Force, Blaster Force, Panther Force, Eagle Force, Urchin Force, or Tails Force. Each one is quick, powerful, and requires intense pattern memorization. Basically, to get an idea of Seven Force, imagine a standard, challenging boss fight in any game you've played.then imagine fighting seven of them in a row without any kind of break. And this is in the game's second level. In this game, the Grand Masters are looking for a player worthy of inheriting the four rare Legendary Pokemon Cards. Pokemon Trading Card Game is a beautifully made game that popularized the real life Pokemon Trading Cards. Pokemon trading card game 2 pc. Finally, here's a boss some of you might actually recognize: Ridley from Super Metroid. A nasty dragon creature, Ridley puts up quite a ferocious fight. He spews torrents of flame, attempts to eviscerate you with his long, multi-jointed tail, tries to crush you in his clawed talons, and even tries to knock you into the lava pit that surrounds the arena you fight him in. Ridley is tough even for a player that has fully upgraded his character.but the true challenge is in fighting him without the Varia Suit, the item that allows you to survive in hot areas. Then you not only have to deal with Ridley himself.but also with your steadily dwindling health. You can't get that much more intense in a video game. First of all, I tip my hat to all the bosses of Painkiller, because they're just HUGE. Most giant enemies I have ever faced in a game. Onto the actual favorites, I'd start with Metal Slug 2 mission 2 boss, a big crushing machine that follows the player up an endless tower. The fact that this boss is below the player and yet forces him to go up gives really intense action, especially in second phase where the boss fires giant blasts which can only be avoided by standing on the most far side of the tower. On easy difficulty, it can be easily defeated in few seconds, but on hard it's really a thrill. Also it should be noted that this boss uses a unique background melody which in my opinion makes it even cooler. Another cool boss I defeated I have faced not long ago, in the last-gen version of Splinter Cell Double Agent.
